AFS Transactions-book review Copper 95- Review
AFS Transaction 02-110, pp. 515-524: Lukman, A.; Smith, R. W.; Sahoo, M. (2002) is entirely copied from a CIM paper that was published seven (7) years earlier (! )in Proceedings of the Copper 95— International Conference, Santiago, Nov. 26-29, 1995 ) 1, 477-490.
The title of the paper has been altered to give the impression that the AFS paper is a new contribution ( see the abstracts side by side). See allegations of research misconduct sent to Queen's and NSERC here.
What does the co-author (Mahi Sahoo)say?
What does the Queen's investigation report say: “..minor amendments to title or abstract and wholesale reproduction of previously published boilerplate, grammatical warts and all.” [ Queen's investigation report]
Since 2011 the issue has repeatedly been brought to the attention of AFS. We are urging American Foundry Society (AFS) again to take appropriate steps to correct the scientific record for the members.
